Chanel Fall 2011 Makeup Collection
Creative director of Chanel makeup Peter Philips introduces new textures and radiant effects in Fall 2011 collection, Illusions d’Ombres de Chanel. The collection has shimmering bronze, platinum and gold colors to match plum, khaki and copper shades. Metallic reflections of green, silver and beige on nails complement the Fall look.
I love using dark eyeshadow and eyeliner and I usually complement dark eyes with light pink blushes to make a contrast. The Khaki Platine eyeliner in the collection with Epatant and a little Fantasme would be perfect. The palette of 6 eyeshadow kinda look like the Ombres Perlées limited edition collection, but these new ones are shiny-shimmery while the Perlées have a pearly-like look, softer, as far as I can tell by the looks.
I love all 3 nail polishes, especially the Quartz one. Let’s hope they look lovely in real life too.
Soft tones of quadra eyeshadow palette and pink blush are also perfect companions for Fall. I’m using a very similar color MAC blush, when I run out of that one, I might try this blush. This palette can be used as based for the shimmer eyeshadow so that you can wear them in daytime too.
Right now I have Rouge Coco Shine Bel Ami and Glossimer Coral Love and they actually look like the lipsticks and glosses in the collection but they sure look gorgeous.
All the eyeshadow pots are amazing, my favorites are Epatant (above), Ebloui and Illusoire.
Finally let’s take a look at the makeup Peter Philips created for F/W 2011 RTW show in March:
