Clare Waight Keller is the new creative director of Chloé
Clare Waight Keller is appointed as the new creative director of Chloé, replacing Hannah MacGibbon who has been coordinating the position since 2008.
The English designer has a BA from Ravensbourne College of Art and completed her master studies, where the major focus was on knitwear, at Royal College of Arts.
Her previous work experiences include prestigious fashion houses like Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and Gucci where she was hired by Tom Ford to work as a senior designer alongside Francisco Costa and Christopher Bailey. This was followed by her role as creative director of Pringle of Scotland in 2005. She reinvented the brand and launched her first collection in 2006.
She left Pringle of Scotland in March 2011 due to “personal reasons”. The designer will be in charge of Chloé starting from June 2011 and will be presenting her first collection for the brand in Paris Fashion Week in September 2011.
